This policy explains how Marcooking (“we”) collects and uses personal data when you use our website and book a cooking class in Essaouira. It aims to be transparent under Morocco’s Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, supervised by the CNDP. This document is not legal advice; full compliance also requires a CNDP filing and professional counsel where appropriate.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Marcooking, a cooking workshop at N° 120, Souq Ar-Rahba, 1240 Essaouira, Morocco.

2. Data we collect
Via the booking / contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), number of guests, preferred date, and message.
Via WhatsApp, phone, or email when you contact us directly: information you send so we can arrange your class.
Technical data related to hosting and site operation (for example IP address, device type, pages viewed) that may be processed by our host or analytics tools, if used.
3. Purposes
Respond to booking and information requests.
Organize and deliver the cooking class (confirmation, practical details, follow-up).
Keep the website secure, reliable, and improving over time.
Meet legal or accounting obligations when they apply.
4. Legal bases
Steps prior to a contract / performing the booking relationship when you request a class.
Your consent when you contact us voluntarily or accept certain non-essential cookies.
Legitimate interest in site security and abuse prevention, balanced with your rights.
5. Retention
Booking and inquiry correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request, run the class, and meet any legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized.
Hosting technical logs usually follow short retention periods set by the provider.
6. Recipients and processors
We do not sell your personal data.
Data may be processed by: the Marcooking team; our website host (e.g. Vercel); messaging services (email, WhatsApp) you use to reach us; Google Maps when you load the embedded map.
These providers act only as needed for their services and under their own privacy terms.
7. Transfers outside Morocco
Some providers (hosting, maps, messaging) may process data outside Morocco. Where that happens, we seek appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable rules, as far as reasonably possible.
8. Your rights
Under Law 09-08 you may request access, rectification, objection, or erasure of your data, within legal limits.

9. Cookies and similar technologies
